School Advisory Council and Parents & Friends

This year our School Advisory Council and Parents & Friends Committee have combined to form one representative group that facilitates the community involvement throughout the school and the events that our held onsite. This group helps facilitate our largest community event, the St Joseph’s Fete held in November each year, as well as multiple events throughout the school year that involves our school community: Beginning and End of the Year BBQs, Mother’s and Father’s Day Breakfasts, Grandparent’s Day and much more!

St Joseph's Community Fete

2023 promises to see the return of the St Joseph’s Community Fete. Unfortunately, the Fete has had to be postponed over the last 3 years, twice due to COVID restrictions and last year due to local floods, so fingers crossed for this year. The Fete focuses on bring our community together with a collection of food trucks providing the majority of the catering, plus many entertainment options including an array of jumping castles, the Rotary Train and many traditional type fete activities coordinated by school community members. The 2023 Fete will be held on Friday, November 3rd at St Joseph’s Primary School, Kerang.

Volunteers in Catholic Schools

At St Joseph's we value the support of volunteers. Over your child/ren’s journey through Primary School there are many opportunities to volunteer and support your child and the school. As part of our commitment to Child Safety, we are required to have stringent policies and procedures in place to protect our students from potential harm. Further to this, all schools are now required by law to follow strict guidelines when enlisting the support of Volunteers in their school.
