St Joseph's Primary School is located in Kerang on the Murray Valley Highway half way between Echuca and Swan Hill (Pop. 4100). Situated on the Loddon River, Kerang is the service centre for the surrounding irrigated agricultural district. The Kerang Wetlands system, a scattering of more than 50 lakes and marshes, supports hundreds of species of water birds and is arguably the world's largest breeding grounds for ibis. The town boasts excellent facilities and services. The nearby Murray River and lakes provide ample opportunities for sport and recreation and the region is a popular place for visitors during summer and Easter.
